Recently Pensacola was deluged with over 21 inches of rain in under 24 hours. The largest rainfall in a single day in Pensacola’s history. With that rain came epic floods here. I almost became a victim of the flood but escaped just barely. I knew this was news in the making so I went around my neighborhood and took shots of what was happening. The photos tell the story. I immediately posted them to Facebook and they were shared over and over as people wanted to show everyone what was going on down here. I also posted a CNN iReport and a producer at CNN took notice and called me right away. They featured my images with their main story on CNN.com and on Headline News. My photos were also picked up by WEAR3 TV and the Pensacola News Journal. It was all capped off by a live phone interview on CNN Headline News Show, Evening Express.
