Our friends, Isaac and Lauren Newlin, had a little baby girl just 2 1/2 weeks ago and I offered to photograph her to help build my newborn photography. One of the poses I really wanted to try was the basket sitting on an old antique scale I purchased some time ago for just this purpose. At first I was a little worried moving her would wake her, but little Isla seemed totally content in her basket and just slept through it. She eventually woke up in a very relaxed state and I was able to capture some great shots of her. I really had fun in post-production playing with a series of new filters I got for photoshop.
